Meet Zimbabwe’s Jewish tribe, the Lembas

From BBC:

The Lemba people are easy to distinguish from most other Zimbabweans – they wear skull caps, pray in a language which is a mixture of Hebrew and Arabic, and put the Star of David on their gravestones.

Their oral traditions claim that their ancestors were Jews who fled the Holy Land about 2,500 years ago.

It may sound like another myth of a lost tribe of Israel, but British scientists have carried out DNA tests which confirm their Semitic origin.

These tests back up the group’s belief that a group of perhaps seven men married African women and settled on the continent.

Yet an other soldier’s abduction attempt

From Haaretz:

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization on Saturday claimed that its militants had tried without success to abduct an Israel Defense Forces soldier whose glider accidentally drifted across the border and landed in the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinians themselves are the reason that the Palestinians never have prospered, are not prospering, and never will prosper. Why should we talk peace with them?

Islamic Jihad celebrates one of its bloodiest terror attacks

On January 22, 1995, two consecutive bombs exploded at the Beit Lid junction near Netanya, killing 20 soldiers and one civilian. The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack.

15 years later the Islamic Jihad is celebrating this attack.

That is very frightening to think that human beings can become so desensitized and so depraved that they can actually celebrate the brutal murder of other people. Islam has to be a satanic religion. That is the only explanation for such cruelty.

This would be like the Israelis celebrating the deaths from the bombings of Gaza. I can understand celebrating victory, but a massacre?

Data and Trends in Palestinian Terrorism

2009 displays a significant decline in the amount of attacks coming from the Palestinian Territories as opposed to previous years. The decline in the amount of attacks brought about a decrease in the number of casualties and injured people: 15 casualties, 9 of them died during the Gaza Operation (as opposed to 36 in 2008) and 234 injured people, 185 of them were wounded during the Gaza Operation (as opposed to 679 in 2008).

Prominent Trends in 2009

  • 2009 displays a significant decline in the amount of attacks coming from the Palestinian Territories as opposed to previous years.
  • The 2008 Gaza Operation (hereinafter: the Gaza Operation,27/12/08-18/01/09) is the reason for the decline in Gaza Strip-based attacks. The operation caused a sharp decline in rocket launchings against Israel – 566 launchings (406 of them were launched in January during the operation) as opposed to 2,048 launchings in 2008.
  • In the West Bank – the continuous CT activity conducted by Israel and the Palestinian security apparatuses is the main reason for the decline in the amount of attacks. It should be mentioned that above 90% of the total number of attacks in the West Bank and Jerusalem are in the form of Molotov cocktail throwings.

  • There is also a substantial propagation in Global Jihad ideology across the Gaza Strip and a sizeable joining of dozens of military activists to different Gaza Strip-based organizations established according to Global Jihad ideology.
  • Hizballah has been constantly attempting to perform the revenge attack following Imad Mughniyah’s death, causing a gear up and a high level of readiness.

Super Dagan

They call him a Superman:

“The head of the Israeli Mossad, unknown to many because he works in silence and away from the media tumult, has delivered painful blows to the Iranian program over the past eight years and caused it to stall despite the hubbub surrounding it. This fact has made Dagan the superman of the Jewish state.” (Ynet)

Another Iranian Provocation

From Reuters:

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – Iraq demanded on Friday that Iran immediately withdraw its soldiers from a disputed oilfield on the two countries’ border, but Tehran denied any incursion.Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said 11 Iranian soldiers had taken control of the Fakka oilfield in a remote desert area of southeastern Iraq, in a “violation of Iraqi sovereignty.”

“Iraq demands the immediate withdrawal from well No. 4 and the Fakka oilfield, which belongs to Iraq. Iraq is looking for a peaceful and diplomatic settlement to this issue,” he said.

Dabbagh did not give a deadline for withdrawal and did not say what Iraq would do if Iran failed to comply. Officials have summoned Tehran’s envoy in Iraq to discuss the matter, he said.

Iraqi officials said the Iranian soldiers crossed into Iraqi territory on Friday and raised the Iranian flag at Fakka, whose ownership is disputed by Iran.

Iraqi Deputy Interior Minister Ahmed Ali al-Khafaji said the incursion was the latest of several this week at the field, some 300 km (185 miles) southeast of Baghdad in Maysan province.

“At 3:30 this afternoon, 11 Iranian (soldiers) infiltrated the Iran-Iraq border and took control of the oil well. They raised the Iranian flag, and they are still there,” he said.

Iran’s semi-official Mehr news agency later quoted the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) as rejecting the report.

“The company denies Iranian soldiers taking control of any oil well inside Iraqi territory,” Mehr quoted the NIOC as saying.

Khafaji said the well was in Iraqi territory.

“This well is located on Iraqi land, 300 meters (yards) inside Iraq. It is disputed between Iran and Iraq. There was an agreement between the two countries’ oil ministers to fix this problem diplomatically,” he said.

When will the West take steps to stop Iran? Do they really want to wait until it’s too late?

Israel Today

Are we going to have a Shalit deal by Sunday? I really hope so, Gilad must come home now. My fear that this is just not going to happen…

Now the Palestinians are also fighting against Egypt. Palestinians opened fire Friday at Egyptian construction workers building a barrier between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile the Elder of Zion is touring Samaria.

According to an offer made by Olmert a total of 327 square kilometers of land from within pre-1967 Israel would have been given to the Palestinian Authority had PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas accepted in September 2008. Good he didn’t!

The famous Auschwitz sign ‘Arbeit macht Frei’ was stolen. What a shame.

Are the Palestinians are like Jesus and Israel is like the Romans? Read more about it at Harry’s Place.

From Shwarma Major we learn that the Coalition of Women for Peace want that Zipi Livni turns herself in to British authorities for her role in the Gaza war. Not enough that Israelis must fear travelling abroad because they might get arrested, now also they must fear the feminists in Israel.

Stable Of Zionist Hore  is reporting that Twitter got hacked by the ‘Iranian Cyber army’ – Seams like the Iranian understood that Twitter is their number 1 enemy.

Modern warfare and conflict is discussing if Islamic moderates are just as human as everybody else. I have my doubts!

The last night of Chanukah has started. Whatch the joy of Chanukah at Israellicool.

Rockets to Roses

Rockets to Roses

“An Israeli artist, living in the shadow of terror, has found his way of transforming objects of destruction into expressions of peace and hope for the future. A magnificent rose with a mission. Each rose is a unique hand-sculpted piece of art, fashioned from actual rockets that landed in Israel. The stem is mounted on a base in the shape of Israel, with each rose “growing” from the region where most of the have rockets landed.
