Iran, the UN and Terrorism

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

Iran’s Permanent Ambassador to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaee said on Tuesday that terrorism is the most important challenge facing the international community.

He underlined the need for all-out struggle against the ominous phenomenon of terrorism by the international community with the UN key role. (IRNA)

Now after wondering that Iran as a renown terror sponsor in the Middle East has changed it’s mind and wants to struggle against Terrorism , the Ambassador doesn’t forget to denounce Israel as a Terrorist State:

Condemning the Zionist atrocities in the Palestinian occupied lands, Khazaee reiterated that the measures taken by the Israeli regime is a clear manifestation of the state terrorism in the world.(IRNA)

Ahh, it’s Israel! How did we miss this. Of course the UN will agreed with him… and will add some anti-Israel resolutions to the list. Iran and the UN really make a nice couple in the fight against Terrorism!

Richard A. Falk against Israel

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

In a statement, Richard Falk, the UN Special Rapporteur for human rights in the Palestinian territories, said the civilian population in Gaza was “being collectively punished by policies that amount to a Crime Against Humanity.”

The international court should “determine whether the Israeli civilian leaders and military commanders responsible for the Gaza siege should be indicted and prosecuted for violations of international criminal law.”

Falk said Israel was only allowing into Gaza small amounts of food and fuel in quantities enough to “stave off mass famine and disease.” (Trend News)

It is not the first time that the American Jew Richard A. Falk lashes out against Israel. In a June 2007 article called “Slouching toward a Palestinian Holocaust,” Falk compared Israeli actions in the Palestinian territories with those of the Nazis during World War II and accused Israel of having “genocidal tendencies,”, infuriating the Jewish State. The Israeli government then announced that it will deny Falk a visa to Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The question here is who is genocidal in Palestine ? The Palestinians (or whoever they are) had many opportunities to form their own state. They rejected them. The Hamas and the Hezbollah want the extermination of the Jews. Is it not genocide ?

Iran has enough nuclear material for a single A-Bomb

Friday, November 21st, 2008

This was clear from the beginning:

Iran has now produced roughly enough nuclear material to make, with added purification, a single atom bomb, according to nuclear experts analyzing the latest report from global atomic inspectors (DEBKAfile).

IAEA with the complicity of the world succeeded to delay not the Iranians but the efforts to stop them. They will recognize the iranian bomb only after it is blowed on Israel. That was always obvious. And now they will all pressure Israel to stay quiet.

Israel to boycott Durban II anti-racism conference

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni announced Wednesday that Israel has made a final decision to boycott the United Nations “Durban II” conference on human rights this spring, fearing it would be used once again as a forum for anti-Israeli sentiment. (Ynet)

Wait a minute. People die of hunger, civil wars in thousands around the globe, UN is watching this passively… The crisis hit the poorest badly, and UN spends - whose money? - on anti-Israel witchhunt? Why are there no funds and means for good dedds? Why is there always a lot of money when it comes to anti-US and anti-Israel activities?

Should Israel boycott the racism conference?

UN persecution of Israel

Sunday, September 7th, 2008

As you know the UN is planning to ask Israel to pay $1 Billion in damages for the war in Lebanon.

See http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3592764,00.html

All things considered, this is an act of enormous gall and opens a new chapter in the UN war on the Jewish state.

My letter sent to the President of the US, Secretary Ban Ki Moon and US mission to UN (with different salutations) is below. As this is an election year in the US, confronting candidates with the issue might help too. Caution - better to wait until Monday, a business day to send letters. Do not send the same exact letter. Remember that the proposal is still just a “report” that may be someone’s lobbying leak.

But if it is only a “thought” now, organized protest might stop it.

You can also sign our long standing petition: Fair Play for Israel at the UN

And - please tell others!

Thank you for taking action and spreading the word.

UN to demand Israel pay Lebanon $1 billion in reparations

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

The United Nations will require Israel to pay Lebanon nearly $1 billion for environmental damages caused during the 2006 Second Lebanon War, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported on Saturday. (Haaretz)

Once again the UN shows that it is only able to count the cost caused by Israel’s defense on others rather than the cost to Israel for being attacked.

60 years later we still hear about the Displaced Arabs who moved because their cousins wanted to attack Israel.

Now we have the country that attacked Israel asking for compensation done in a defensive war.

When will it end?

This is also proof that Israel won the war, as you never ask the looser to pay (look at world wars 1 and 2).
