ICRC: Israel’s use of white phosphorus not illegal


Human Rights Watch has accused Israel of firing phosphorous shells illegally. The Red Cross responded that Israel was using white phosphorus shells but in a pure legal manner, to illuminate targets at night or create a smoke screen at day.
