Kuwaiti candidate that urges ties with Israel withdraw!
The Kuwaiti candidate that called to establish full diplomatic ties with Israel has withdrawn his candidacy.
a result of what I said on the call to normalize relations with Israel, following my candidacy for the elections to the nation last Tuesday, I announced my decision to withdraw my candidacy for the election, and I apologize and regret what I made in this regard and have been better for me not to touch on such issues, particularly the State of Kuwait was still committed to the fixed positions on the Arab issues, especially the issue of Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories (Source).
In other non confirmed reports the Kuwaiti candidate got death threats and it was annouced that he would get 24 hours protection.
